Our Gold Vermeil jewellery is composed of a solid, inner material such as sterling Silver, and an outer material such as 18 carat gold, rhodium or ruthenium. All Rait London jewellery has been made using a layer of 18k Gold that is 10 times that of standard plating, to ensure the pieces are as long lasting as possible. Heavy wearing can lead to the outer material rubbing off slightly, over time which is why, if you’d like a refresh, we’re always delighted to offer a re-furbishing and re-plating services within a 2 year time frame.
